Spill Release Procedures:SHOULD A BATTERY BREAK OPEN, ISOLATE AREA.
ELECTROLYTE SHOULD BE ABSORBED WITH A NON-ORGANIC TYPE ABSORBENT
SUCH AS DRY SAND OR EARTH. THEN WASH AREA WITH WATER. LEAD SPILLED
FROM THE BATTERY SHOULD B E VACUUMED, DO NOT SWEEP OR USE
COMPRESSED AIR.
Neutralizing Agent:USE SODA ASH OR BAKING SODA TO NEUTRALIZE THE
ELECTROLYTE.

Handling

Handling and Storage Precautions:AVOID THE USE OF UNINSULATED TOOLS.
KEEP AWAY FROM IGNITION SOURCES DURING AND AFTER CHARGING. DO NOT
SHORT TERMINALS WITH TOOLS.
Other Precautions:UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS OF USE, EXPOSURE TO LEAD OR
LEAD CONTAINING COMPOUNDS DOES NOT OCCUR. SHOULD A BATTERY BREAK

SYSTEM, THE EXHAUST AIR FROM THE BATTERY ROOM SHOULD NOT BE
RETURNED TO THE AIR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM. THE ROOM SHOULD HAVE ITS
OWN EXHAUST SYSTEM CONNECTED DIRECTLY TO OUTSIDE AIR. HYDROGEN GAS
IS LIGHTER THAN AIR AND DIFFICULT TO DETECT.
